Waste Management Policy
WHH manages materials and waste to minimise environmental impact, prevent pollution and keep its premises, vehicles, vessels and operational sites clean and orderly.
Our commitments
Apply the waste hierarchy: prevent, prepare for re-use, recycle, recover and dispose only as a last resort. Plan procurement and operations to avoid unnecessary materials, packaging, fuel, energy and water use. Re-use and recycle materials and equipment where practicable and maintain appropriate waste records.
Use authorised carriers and facilities and meet waste duty-of-care requirements. Never discard litter or waste into waterways, public areas or worksites, and respond promptly to spillages or misplaced waste. Monitor performance, provide awareness training and work with clients and suppliers to improve waste outcomes.
Responsibility
Managers provide suitable facilities, controls and oversight. Employees and subcontractors must segregate and dispose of waste correctly, maintain tidy work areas and report environmental hazards or excessive waste.
This is a concise public statement of WHH's policy commitments. The controlled internal policy, supporting procedures, records and approval status are maintained separately within the WHH management system.
