Filming & special projects

A practical platform
for the unusual.

Filming is not our core business. Delivering unusual and complex operations on water is—and that makes WHH a capable partner for productions, events and other specialist projects.

Complex delivery experience

One-off brief.
Workable operation.

Although filming is not a core part of our business, our experience delivering unusual and complex civil-engineering projects on the water means we understand how to turn an ambitious brief into a safe, practical marine operation.

WHH has provided coordinated boats for stunts, stable working platforms and back-of-house support, as well as helping to deliver unique events and waterborne projects in their own right.

We draw on a varied fleet, specialist plant and practical waterway knowledge to consider stability, access, loads, sightlines, movement, navigation and the surrounding public environment together—not simply supply a boat and leave the interfaces to somebody else.

From brief to operation

More than a
camera platform.

Early information about the location, equipment, people, timing and required movement helps us coordinate the complete marine element.

01

Translate the brief

Turn the required shot, stunt, event or unusual operation into a practical plan for people, craft, equipment and movement on the water.

02

Coordinate the boats

Bring together working platforms, support craft and project-specific equipment as one managed marine operation.

03

Support front and back of house

Provide stable working positions alongside the less visible access, equipment, welfare and logistics support needed behind the operation.

04

Deliver the unusual

Apply the same practical planning and adaptable delivery used on complex civil-engineering projects when the brief does not have a standard answer.

The fleet as a toolkit

Stable, movable and
adaptable.

Workboats, pontoons, tugs, lifting plant and access equipment can be combined to create a fixed working position, controlled moving platform or coordinated group of support boats.

Our role can extend behind the visible operation to mobilisation, crew access, equipment movements, welfare and day-to-day marine coordination—allowing the production or project team to focus on what it is there to deliver.

Typical applications

Support for briefs that
do not fit a standard box.

  • Camera and filming platforms
  • Lighting and equipment positions
  • Location access from the water
  • Production support craft
  • Events and temporary installations
  • Unusual access and one-off operations

An unusual requirement?
